Ooty, also called Udhagamandalam, is one of the most visited hill stations in Tamil Nadu. 1. Ooty Lake:

Spreading over an area of approximately 65 acres, Ooty lake offers breathtaking scenic views to its visitors. The eucalyptus trees surrounding the lake adds beauty to the place. There is also a boat house that provides motor boats, paddle boats and rowing boats to tourists so that they can enjoy boating. Don’t miss the boat races and other exciting events held in May.

2. Botanical Garden:

3. Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary:

Located around 31 km from Ooty, Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary or Tiger reserve allows its visitors to explore various bird and animal species including endangered Indian white-rumped vulture. There is also a Theppakadu Elephant camp where you can feed the elephants and have fun.

4. Nilgiri Mountain Railway:

The tourists have memorable experiences when they travel in this toy train running from Mettupalayam to Ooty. The train passes through approximately 15 tunnels and 250 bridges. 5. Rose Garden:

One of the India’s largest rose gardens, the Government Rose garden has a huge collection of roses such as ramblers, floribunda, hybrid tea roses and miniature roses. 6. Doddabetta Peak:

Situated at an altitude of 2,623 metres, Doddabetta peak is one of the highest South Indian peaks. It offers outstanding views of Nilgiris.
